The short version: Perspective Grids runs entirely in your browser. There are no accounts and no uploads. The only personal information the site ever asks for is an email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to the newsletter. This page lists everything the site touches.
What runs on your device
Every grid, calculator, template and image tool is JavaScript that executes in your browser. When you open a photo in the perspective correction, warp, tilt or vanishing-point tools, the file is read by your browser and never sent to a server. PNG, SVG and PDF exports are generated on your device and downloaded directly.
What is stored in your browser
Two things, both in localStorage, both readable and deletable by you in the browser’s site-data settings: your light/dark theme choice, and the Practice page’s list of completed drill dates (used for the streak counter). Clearing site data removes both. Beyond that, the only cookies come from Google Analytics, described below.
Share links
The Share button puts your current settings (angles, lens, horizon, objects) into the page URL. Anyone you send the link to sees those settings. The URL contains nothing else.
Third parties
Cloudflare hosts the site and serves it from its network; like any web host it sees the IP address and request headers of each visit and keeps short-term operational logs. The typefaces are served from this site’s own domain. Google Analytics 4 (property G-4YFC09SJY2, added 3 September 2026) loads Google’s gtag.js script and sets its cookies to count visits and page views; Google receives the page address, a randomised client identifier, and the usual request data (IP address, browser, screen size) in accordance with Google’s privacy policy. Nothing you draw, type or open in the tools is sent to it. Blocking the script with a content blocker does not affect any feature of the site.
Newsletter
If you enter your email address in a subscribe form (added 4 September 2026), it is sent from your browser directly to Kit (Kit.com, formerly ConvertKit), the service that stores the list and sends the letter on our behalf, together with the page you subscribed from. Kit sends a confirmation email first; nothing is stored until you click it. Kit’s handling of the data is described in Kit’s privacy policy. The address is used for the newsletter and for nothing else, is never shared or sold, and every email carries an unsubscribe link that removes it. To have it deleted outright, reply to any issue or email the address below.
Advertising
The site shows banner ads from a third-party ad network, whose scripts load from obvioussecretive.com: under the page title, under the first heading of the text, after its second paragraph, and at the top of the sidebar. Each ad runs in its own frame, separate from the page. The network receives the usual request data (IP address, browser, screen size and the page address) and may set cookies to choose and count ads. The banners ran from 22 September 2026, paused between 2 and 17 October while a Google AdSense application was open, and are running again; Google AdSense is not used on the site.
Since 17 October 2026 the site also loads Grow by Mediavine from faves.grow.me, which powers the on-page reader features and may set cookies of its own.
Nothing you draw, type, open or export in the tools is sent to an advertiser, and no ad is ever drawn into a tool’s canvas or into a file you download. Blocking the ads with a content blocker does not affect any feature of the site.
Children
Apart from an optional newsletter address, the site collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and is suitable for classroom use.
